Jeremy J. McCrary is an award-winning visual artist, educator, and military veteran dedicated to community enrichment, technical excellence, and the transformative power of fine art. Currently serving as the Fine Arts Department Chair and Visual Arts Teacher at Kendrick High School in Columbus, Georgia, Jeremy leads with a passion for cultivating creative talent and mentoring the next generation of visual storytellers.
His commitment to education and leadership earned him the prestigious Saro Spano Top Teacher Award in 2024, recognizing his profound impact within the classroom and the broader academic community. A proud alumnus of Columbus State University, Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Science in Art Education and frequently gives back to his alma mater, recently sharing his insights as a featured guest speaker on the university's professional alumni panel.
Before anchoring his career in education, Jeremy served with distinction for ten years in the U.S. Army, holding the rank of E-5 as a Unit Supply Specialist (MOS 92Y). His military background instilled a deep sense of discipline, structural organization, and resilient leadership—traits that seamlessly translate into his high school classroom management, his role as a high school golf coach, and his execution of large-scale creative projects.
As an active, practicing fine artist, Jeremy specializes in high-fidelity realism, complex mixed media, and prominent public art. His portfolio spans intimate, technically demanding portraiture to massive public installations, including a major mural commission completed for Goodwill in 2025. Through his business, BrushCentral, Jeremy balances commercial versatility with fine art execution, taking clients from initial conceptual sketching through to premium, masterfully painted final canvases.
Whether guiding a student toward their artistic voice, coaching on the golf course, or transforming a blank wall into a culturally resonant public landmark, Jeremy operates at the intersection of discipline, creativity, and community impact.
